Flexion Teardrop Fracture of C5

Flexion Teardrop fractures are unstable cervical spine injuries that present with anterior cord syndromes (quadrilplegia with retained sensation). These are severe fractures and result in severe compromise of the cord from retropulsion of the fractured vertebral body.
